Agricultural Workers Conference

Resolutions
A key output of the
conference and pre-conference sessions has been a resolution focusing on a
current critical issue, drafted by committee and adopted by the Conference
and sent to the Secretary of Agriculture. Past resolutions have focused on:
the impact of redefining the “farm” and the impact of such a redefinition on
small-scale and limited resource producers and the institutions and
organizations that serve them; proportionate funding for rural development
activities in the South from the Fund for Rural America and other sources;
and the decline of minority farms and the lack of appropriate funds to
address this issue.
